MEMBERSHIP FORMS

We have moved with the times and commenced an on line membership application form and this is the only way to join or renew your membership. It is very simple and takes all the guesswork out of it. Trying to interpret some of the handwriting was a challenge and I recon a lot of us should have been doctors.

To join or renew, simply scan the attached QR code and follow the prompts. Should this not be possible for some reason, contact a committee member who will assist you. We have placed these posters at a number of shops, cafes, etc so you have probably seen them in your travels.

Be prepared because entries for the tuna competition will all be done the same way – it seems like all of my whining about the last couple of years at Briefing Night has finally paid off.

If you remember back to the briefing night last year, you will realise just how difficult it was trying to keep up with new memberships, renewals, general enquiries and take competition entries all at the same time.

Bedlam would be a good description. We didn’t even get a chance to have a beer! I am at a loss to explain how we got through without having a major stuff up. Now there will simply be 2 QR codes displayed, one for membership and one for entries. All we have to do is aim them to the correct one and they do it all from there.

We are also aware that not everyone is comfortable using this technology so there will be committee members available to help. I consider myself to be “technologically dyslexic” but even I found it quite a simple process.

The other benefit is that it not only gives us the date that someone joins but it also gives a time. There have been a few occasions in the past when this would have been handy.
